The existance of an event period for Mission Chain and it's corresponding [Conquest the Guide] medal begin 5 stages confirms that Mission Chain could be updated and changed in the future
Mission Chain was actually enabled in CSN:S 2 weeks prior to it's official released, but was not possible to complete stage 1 missions since it was not possible to open the Mission Chain window nor read the guides in order to complete the stage
For a long time in CSN:S, many new players were unable to complete Stage 2 due to an exploration bug which prevented the default classes to be used in exploration that remanined unfixed for a long time. The bug has been fixed in 09/23/2021 Update
