Steyr Scout is a bolt-action sniper rifle in Counter-Strike series and Counter-Strike Online.

Overview

The Steyr Scout is a 7.62×51mm NATO bolt-action sniper rifle which does moderate damage but light in term of weight. It is cheap and usually the best choice for players whose have low money earn.

Remington M24 is the upgrade version of Steyr Scout. It does higher damage and also light, making it the suitable replacement for the Scout.

Scout Red is a red edition of Steyr Scout. It has the same performance except it has higher damage than Steyr Scout by 1%. It is only available during special events.

When wielded, the user's movement speed will increase from 255 units (knife equiped) to 260 units.
The body model, is taken from original Counter-Strike while the scope model is taken from Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
Steyr Scout is the first weapon which weight is lighter than knife, the second being Tempest and the third PowerSaw.
This weapon has lower damage than SVD and G3SG1 although it is a bolt-action sniper rifle that has higher damage than semi-auto/auto sniper rifle. This is likely intended for gameplay balance purpose.
