H&K XM8 (Heckler & Koch eXperimental Model 8) is an American assault rifle available in Counter-Strike Online exclusive to the Terrorists.
Overview
XM8 is a free assault rifle for the Terrorists. It does moderate damage and has the ability to zoom. It can be switched to XM8 Sharpshooter and its Counter-Terrorist counterpart is the FN SCAR L.
Advantages
- High rate of fire
- Has the ability to zoom
- Medium recoil
- Cheap price
- High damage
Disadvantages
- Loses accuracy in just several shots
- Loud sound which will attracts enemies
- Inaccurate when spraying
- Heavy for an assault rifle
- Purchasable only for the Terrorists
Tactics
- Firing the weapon while strafing will lose its accuracy immidiately.
- Aim for the head while scoping as firing without scope will get things harder.
- Use the scope when the crosshair has spread. The crosshair will go back to normal.
- Since it has cheap price and a free permanent weapon (Singapore/Malaysia and Indonesia regions), this would be useful if a player has earned too many death streaks in Original mode.

Trivia
- The XM8 is an experimental weapon built by Heckler & Koch. It was tested by the US Army but it was rejected from service. The XM8 was only in service with the Malaysian Navy or used by some PMC.
- This weapon can also have a drum magazine.
- XM8 also comes in airsoft gun version.
